The Piece I'm Proudest Of

Full-Stack Shot Tracking System • In Active HBO Production • TypeScript + AI

This is the piece I'm proudest of. It's the live shot-tracker I use every day on my current HBO show, designed around the actual way a VFX editor works, not the way software vendors imagine we work. It watches my EDL folder, ingests cut changes automatically, reads my email, confirms CO3 receipts, catches "zombie shots" that silently disappeared from a cut, and lets me ask it questions in plain English: "which shots are waiting on plates for episode 104?" It has a War Room view for the morning stand-up, a Producer view for the iPad, and an Insights page that surfaces things I'd otherwise miss.

The Views

Five surfaces on the same database, each tuned to a specific moment in the day.

VFX Dashboard, Shot Lineup Sheet
Master lineup sheet, every shot on the show at a glance, filterable by episode, vendor, status, and delivery state.
VFX Dashboard, Producer View
Producer View, visual shot grid with thumbnails, status/episode/vendor filtering, built for iPad over Wi-Fi.
VFX Dashboard, Shot Tracker
Shot Tracker, full table with VFX IDs, status, vendor, version, descriptions, timecodes, and marker colors.
VFX Dashboard, War Room
War Room, real-time pipeline status for daily standups. Green checkmark when everything is dropped in.
VFX Dashboard, Insights
Insights, AI-powered anomaly detection finds "zombie shots" that disappeared or came back from the dead.
